Opalised Wood Beach Scene Pendant in Sterling Silver

This Opalised wood makes me think of an aerial view of a beach and I just love looking at that intense blue in it.  It's set in a custom sterling silver setting and suspended on an 18" rounded box chain.

Opalised wood is a rare form of petrified wood where the original organic material has been replaced by silica-rich water, turning it into common opal over millions of years.  Each piece is different and the colours always amaze me with their naturally beautiful patterns.
