Opalised Wood Dangling Earrings in Sterling Silver

These long dangle earrings feature a translucent opalised wood long pear stone with opaque tips.  The green catches the light and looks like the ocean with waves of darker and lighter greens.

Opalised wood is a rare form of petrified wood where the original organic material has been replaced by silica-rich water, turning it into common opal over millions of years.  Each piece is different and the colours always amaze me with their naturally beautiful patterns.
